Smart Calf Rearing Conference 2027 · Cremona, 6–10 March 2027
English · Italiano
Someone booked a place for you at this conference and gave us your name so that we can get you in the door. You never wrote to us, so here is what we hold and what we do with it — which is what we owe you under Article 14 of the GDPR.
Nothing else. No date of birth, and no street address.
A dietary requirement can say something about your health, so we treat it as health data. We only have it if someone typed it in; it goes to us and to the people who prepare the meals, and to nobody else; and we keep it for the same time as the rest of your details. Leaving it blank costs you nothing but a less precise plate.
Where you are travelling from. We already have the postal code and town of whoever bought the ticket, because they go on the invoice. On the names form you can tell us the postal code and country each participant actually travels from — it is optional, and if you leave it as it is we use the buyer's. We use it for one thing only: to estimate, all together, how far people travelled to get here and what that costs the climate. It never leaves us, in that count it is not attached to anyone's name, and it follows the same 24 months as the rest of your details.
If you also tell us whether you come by car, by train or by plane, the estimate stops being a guess: the same distance by car and by plane are not the same thing, and without that we have to assume one from the other.
We do not have your email address, and we have not asked for it. You will not be added to any mailing list, and nobody will write to you because of this booking.
From the person or company that booked your place. They are the ones who typed it in, on the form we send after payment.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running an event people have paid to attend, and in meeting the access requirements of the places we visit.
Pro Farmer SRLS, which organises the conference, and only the suppliers who need it to do their part: the badge printer, the catering, and the farms on the programme. Nobody buys it, nobody receives it for marketing, and it does not go to the conference partners.
Twenty-four months after the conference — so until March 2029 — and then it is deleted. Those two years cover the next edition, any certificate of attendance you might ask for, and any question that comes up afterwards.
To see what we hold, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to our using it at all. One email is enough: smartcalfrearing@profarmer.it. We answer within thirty days, and asking costs you nothing.
If you would rather not be on the list at all, say so and we remove you — bear in mind that your badge and your place on the farm visits go with it, so tell whoever booked for you as well.
You may also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
This part is for a different reader: someone who filled in the ticket form, reached the payment page and stopped there. You gave us your email address yourself, so here is what happens next.
A payment session expires twenty-four hours after it is opened. If yours expires unpaid we keep your email address, your name, what you had chosen and what it came to, and we send you up to three reminders — one when the session expires, one two days later, and one on the first of the following month, which is when company cards usually have room again. Each one does a single thing: let you pick up exactly where you left off.
They are not a newsletter and they do not put you on our mailing list, which is kept separately and is only for people who asked for it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in finishing a purchase you started yourself. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that stops all three, and buying a ticket stops them by itself.
We keep this for six months from the day the session expired, and then it is deleted.

Basta un'email: smartcalfrearing@profarmer.it.
